Associate Professor Chee Ng

In addition to his role with the International Unit, A/Prof. Ng is Co-Director of Asia-Australia Mental Health; Site Director of WHO Collaborating Centre for Mental Health and Deputy Clinical Director of the Professorial Psychiatry Unit of The Melbourne Clinic. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists; Member of the Advisory Committee member of the China-Australia Community Mental Health Reform; Secretary-General of the Pacific Rim College of Psychiatrists, and an international consultant in community mental health for health ministries in several Asian countries including Japan.  He is the coordinator of the Asia-Pacific Community Mental Health Development Project, involving 14 countries to promote best practice in community mental health care. He is also co-leader of Asia Pacific Mental Health in Disasters Network and helped deliver the AusAID sponsored project on Mental Health in Disasters with the China Ministry of Health and National Mental Health Centre.
