A/Prof. Chee Ng, Co-Director, AAMH Secretariat, was a key presenter at the first meeting of the WHO Global Forum for Community Mental Health held from 30-31 May, 2007 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The primary objectives of the Forum included: to provide a support network for all interested in promoting community mental health services; to share experiences of regional and country activities in CMH; to move from experience to evidence in strengthening community mental health services in low- and middle- income countries.
A/Prof. Ng joined other high profile contributors from across the world including: Dr Benedetto Saraceno, Director, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse, WHO; Dr Michelle Funk, Policy and Service Development, Dept of Mental Health, WHO; Dr Shekhar Saxena, Coordinator, Mental Health: Evidence and Research, WHO; Mr Chris Underhill, Founder Director, BasicNeeds; Prof. Yvonne Bonner, Mental Health Department, Reggio Emilia, Italy.
