Qatar and Melbourne Collaboration
AAMH has been contracted by the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) for two years to support the redevelopment of mental health services in Qatar, a Gulf state in the Middle East. HMC delivers secondary and tertiary health services for Qatar. AAMH is working collaboratively with the HMC Department of Psychiatry to develop a community-based and client-centred model of care with specialised services for children and youth, adults and older people. AAMH will provide mental health planning support, training programs and site visits to Melbourne. This exciting project aims to position Qatar as a leader in mental health care in the Middle East.
