Thailand: International Community Mental Health Conference
Ms Julia Fraser and A/Prof Chee Ng, Co-Directors of AAMH, were invited by the Thai Ministry of Health to partner in the recent International Community Mental Health Conference, held in Bangkok from the 18-20 August, 2010.
This important international conference on community mental health attracted participants from all over the world, and highlighted Thailand as a key centre for discussion and ideas on community mental health.
AAMH was proud to be invited to run a workshop on leadership and partnerships in community mental health. The session saw 150 mental health leaders from around the region finding new ways to lead mental health services in often under-resourced environments.
This workshop is part of "The Building the Australia-Thailand Partnership in Community Mental Health" Project, which is supported by the Commonwealth through the Australia-Thailand Institute of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
