Special Projects

APCMHDP Network Publications

Publications are collaboratively developed by the APCMHDP network.  These publications highlight the important work done within each country and also across the region, and focus on generating a set of common principles for working in community mental health, while also highlighting best practice examples within each country.  Publications are distributed throughout the region.

Stage Two

2011

In 2008 (see 2008 below), AAMH published a report summarising the work of the APCMHD project’s first stage. It documented each participating country’s or region’s development of community mental health services, and contains country-specific examples of best practice community mental health models and key guiding principles for development of these services in the region.

Stage two of the project focuses on providing support for the creation and maintenance of effective partnerships in community mental health care delivery. Stage two identifies and strengthens partnerships between mental health services and other health and non-health agencies that will support community mental health care through an integrated approach between hospital and community networks.

The World Psychiatric Association (WPA) has also published the Stage two summary report on its website.

2011 APCMHDP Summary Report: The Report documents the working principles of building community mental health partnerships and its application for the Asia-Pacific region.
